Thalia Doukas is a fine artist who works in 2D and 3D using a variety of techniques. She leads collaborative workshops based on an evolving inventory of materials and projects. A favorite seasonal event is her role as guest artist at the holiday cardmaking workshop at the Smithsonian National Postal Museum. Thalia has worked in London and New York and currently lives and works in Washington, DC. For ten years, she worked as an independent fine arts curator and grant writer and was for two years director of City Without Walls Gallery in Newark, NJ. She initiated a community Reuse Art Studio in Arlington, Virginia and led workshops there for twelve years. She is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design and Chelsea School of Art (London).
